Anyone else interested in joining me and Fish with these skills development sessions?? It's open to EVERYONE. *ahem* let me quote what the flyer said.
What are Skills Development Sessions?
"These are interactive/workshop sessions where you will have the opportunity to learn about and practise some of the transferable and employment related skills that employers look for in graduates.
What happens at Skills Development Sessions?
Come along prepared to join in! The sessions are highly participative and will involve you in working groups, making presentations, arguing your case - some sessions may be run as business games or simulations and may involve some role play whilst providing an insight into a real business problem. Most students find the sessions very rewarding and excellent practice for employers' assessment centres!
How do i sign up?
The sessions are open to students in all years of study and all subjects (unless otherwise specified) but because places are limited (30 places available at each session), they must be booked in person, in advance at the Careers Service Reception Desk, in the Careers Service, 388 Glossop Road (behind the Octagon Centre) A deposit of 10 pounds is required for each booking. This will be refunded to you when you attend the skills session.
Do i receive a certificate for participating?
Students attending three Skills Development Sessions over the Autumn and Spring semesters will receive a certificate of attendance. Eligible students will be notified by email and certificates will be available for collection at the end of the Spring Semester. Participation in Skills Development Sessions can count towards the Sheffield Graduate Award - see the website for further details: http://www.shef.ac.uk/thesheffieldgraduateaward/index.html

So ppl!! This is awesome right?? i mean, its practically FREE!! eh wait, it IS free! cause the 10 pounds is refundable. u get the 10 pounds before u attend the session. so u get qualified skills for FREE, AND you get certificates as well. im totally joining every session (except for the monday ones lah- got class till 4pm so cannot :P) cause it'll totally boost up my c.v and also my skills. GILA!! but but but..they say kalau sikit urg there's a high chance that they are gonna cancel it? so im really hoping a lot of you will join this. Cause when me and fish signed up tadi there were only....7 of us altogether including me and fish? so pls pls pls join! it'll benefit not only everyone else but *YOU* as well! :)
Anyways, so if anyone else decides to join this, give me a shoutout at my msn kah. id love to know who else is going instead of me and fish :)
p.s BAH URG FINAL YR!! join lahhhh~ this is our last yr..might as well make the most of it right?? hehe
